​The recent deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery among many others are bitter reminders of the systematic racism that still exists in our country. We, at Coachella CUE, stand in solidarity with African Americans who still suffer from the injustices of a society that does not see them as deserving of equal rights and equal opportunities.

We know that addressing the need for racial justice is simply not a choice anymore but a duty we all have not only as educators but as human beings. We proudly stand with the #BlackLivesMatter movement and invite you all to do the same. As a regional affiliate in the Coachella Valley, we pledge to continue to be a resource to the community of educators we serve by supporting equity in education by seeking solutions, finding resources and celebrating one another, not just in technology but also in various topics such as Social-Emotional Learning, Equity, and Diversity.
